Article By

Matchday Affairs Marketing Team

We are a team of passionate Premier League football enthusiasts dedicated to curating the ultimate matchday experiences. From the electric atmosphere of Anfield to the historic grounds of Old Trafford, we ensure every ticket and tour provides a memory of a lifetime.

Every Malaysian Liverpool supporter knows this feeling. You're sitting at your favourite mamak stall at 3 AM, surrounded by fellow Reds, watching your team battle on a grainy projector screen. The teh tarik is getting cold, but nobody notices. Mohamed Salah scores, and the entire mamak explodes—strangers embracing like family, the celebration echoing down the street.

But there's always that whisper in the back of your mind: What would it feel like to experience this at Anfield itself?

For thousands of Malaysian Liverpool fans from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, from Penang to Johor Bahru, that dream has remained exactly that—a dream. The logistics seem overwhelming. How do you secure authentic tickets without getting scammed? Where do you stay? How do you navigate a city you've never visited?

The 2026 season changes everything. Liverpool is competing at the highest levels of English and European football. The atmosphere at Anfield remains unmatched. And for the first time, comprehensive tour packages designed specifically for Malaysian supporters make the pilgrimage not just possible, but surprisingly straightforward.

This isn't just a travel guide. This is your roadmap to transforming years of distant devotion into the experience that will define your life as a Liverpool supporter. And with limited availability for peak fixtures, the time to plan your 2026 Anfield journey is now.

The Malaysian-Liverpool Bond: More Than Just Football

When 40,000 Fans Changed Everything

Something extraordinary happened in 2015 that forced Liverpool Football Club to recognize Malaysia's true importance to the club. When Liverpool announced a training session during their pre-season tour to Kuala Lumpur, club officials expected around 5,000 fans—a respectable number for a midday session during rush hour traffic.

The players emerged onto the Bukit Jalil Stadium pitch to find 40,000 Malaysian Reds who had fought through traffic, heat, and work commitments for a glimpse of their heroes. The following friendly match sold out completely—all 84,000 tickets gone almost instantly. Liverpool's management stood in shock, realizing that Malaysian passion for the club matched anything they'd witnessed in Liverpool itself.

This wasn't new. Malaysian supporters had been waking at ungodly hours for decades, gathering at mamak stalls across the country, creating atmospheres that rival actual stadiums. When Liverpool faces Manchester United or Manchester City, hundreds pack into popular mamak venues in Petaling Jaya, Johor Bahru, and Kuala Lumpur, transforming ordinary eating spots into roaring fortresses of football passion.

For Malaysian Reds, the journey from mamak stalls to Anfield represents validation of every sleepless night, every heartbreak suffered from 10,000 kilometers away, every trophy celebration shared with strangers who became brothers through the shared love of Liverpool FC.

Ready to make your Anfield dream a reality? Explore specialized Liverpool tour packages designed for Malaysian fans with guaranteed authentic tickets and comprehensive support.

The KL Kopites: Malaysia's Liverpool Family

The KL Kopites represent Malaysia's official Liverpool supporters club and one of Southeast Asia's most passionate fan communities. This isn't just a social media group—these are dedicated supporters who organize regular viewing parties, maintain relationships with Liverpool FC directly, and coordinate group pilgrimages to Anfield throughout the season.

Their recent "Anfield Tour 32.0" in December 2025 brought over 15 Malaysian supporters to Liverpool for an unforgettable experience. Many were first-timers who had saved for years to make the journey. Others were veterans returning for their third, fourth, even fifth pilgrimage because once you've experienced Anfield, nothing else quite satisfies that hunger.

The KL Kopites provide more than just organized travel—they offer community, guidance, and the reassurance of traveling with people who understand exactly what this pilgrimage means to you.

What Actually Happens at Anfield: Understanding Your Options

The Stadium Tour Experience: Walking Where Legends Walked

Before we talk about matchdays, let's address the foundation that every Malaysian Liverpool fan should experience: the official Anfield Stadium Tour. This is your chance to walk the corridors where legends prepared for battle, to touch the "This Is Anfield" sign that has intimidated opponents for generations, and to stand on the pitch where Liverpool has written its history.

What You'll Experience:

The tour takes you through the Main Stand, where you'll enjoy panoramic views of the pitch and Liverpool skyline that make the years of distant support feel suddenly, overwhelmingly real. You'll visit both the Home and Away Dressing Rooms—seeing exactly where Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Liverpool's current squad prepare for matches.

The Players' Tunnel is where many Malaysian fans report the first wave of emotion hitting them. This is the exact path where your heroes walk before emerging to 60,000 roaring supporters. When you place your hand on the "This Is Anfield" sign—the same sign every Liverpool legend has touched—the years of 3 AM wake-ups crystallize into this single perfect moment.

You'll sit in the Manager's Dugout where Jürgen Klopp orchestrated Liverpool's Premier League triumph and Champions League glory. The Press Conference Room where you've watched countless post-match interviews on YouTube suddenly becomes tangible. And the LFC Museum housing all six European Cups creates a timeline of the club you've devoted your life to supporting.

The multimedia handset provides audio commentary in 13 languages including English, Mandarin, Indonesian, and Thai—specifically designed to accommodate Malaysia's multicultural demographics. Nothing is lost in translation during this sacred experience.

Tours operate year-round, though availability changes during matchdays and special events. The experience typically lasts 90 minutes, but plan to spend 3-4 hours total including the museum and souvenir shopping at the official Anfield store.

Want to combine your stadium tour with guaranteed match tickets? Check out comprehensive Anfield tour packages that handle everything from flights to accommodation.

Premium Experiences: Going Deeper Into Liverpool's Soul

For Malaysian supporters seeking something beyond the standard tour, several enhanced experiences provide access that most fans never see.

The Liverpool Legends Experience combines the full stadium tour with an intimate Q&A session with Liverpool FC legends—players who have lifted European Cups, won Premier League titles, and written their names into Anfield folklore. Imagine sitting across from these icons, hearing personal anecdotes about the 2005 Champions League Final in Istanbul, the emotional journey to the 2019-20 Premier League title, and behind-the-scenes stories that never made the headlines.

Malaysian fans get the opportunity to ask questions directly, receive autographs, and take photographs with club legends. This creates tangible memories that transcend the abstract nature of distant fandom. When you return to your mamak stall in KL or JB and share photos of you speaking with a Liverpool legend, the story becomes real in ways that television can never replicate.

The Anfield Abseil offers thrill-seeking Malaysian visitors something completely unique: abseiling over 100 feet down the exterior of the Main Stand. Picture yourself suspended in mid-air, touching the iconic LFC crest while photographers capture the moment, with panoramic views of Liverpool city and the River Mersey stretching to the horizon.

This isn't for everyone—but for Malaysian fans who want an Anfield experience that combines Liverpool passion with genuine adventure, the Abseil delivers the ultimate "I was there" story that your friends back home will hear about for years.

Matchday Stadium Tours operate 2.5 hours before kick-off for fans who've secured match tickets. Unlike standard tours with pre-recorded audio guides, these are led by knowledgeable guides sharing real-time insights as the stadium transforms from quiet monument to roaring fortress. You'll witness player warm-ups, see television crews conducting interviews, and feel the building energy as 60,000 supporters stream toward the ground.

These tours don't access active dressing rooms (players are using them), but the trade-off is experiencing Anfield in its truest form—on matchday, when the stadium pulses with life.

The Main Event: Attending a Liverpool Match at Anfield

The Challenge Malaysian Fans Face (And How We Solve It)

Here's the reality that Malaysian Liverpool fans need to understand: getting official match tickets independently is incredibly difficult. Liverpool operates a membership-based ticketing system that prioritizes approximately 26,000 season ticket holders first, then official members, before releasing any remaining tickets to general sale.

For high-profile fixtures—Liverpool vs Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, or Merseyside Derbies against Everton—tickets sell out within minutes of members-only release. Without established membership history and UK-based addresses, overseas fans are essentially locked out of official purchasing channels.

This is where many Malaysian fans have lost money to scams. Facebook groups, Instagram sellers, and unofficial "ticket brokers" promise guaranteed access at suspiciously attractive terms. Fans wire thousands of ringgit to individuals they've never met, trusting promises that evaporate when they arrive at Anfield gates only to be denied entry with counterfeit tickets.

The devastation of traveling 10,000 kilometers, investing your savings, taking time from work, only to watch the match from a pub outside the stadium—it's heartbreaking. And it happens more often than you'd think.

Don't let this be you.

The Safe Path: Why 500+ Malaysian Fans Trust Matchday Affairs

This is exactly why specialized football tour operators exist. Matchday Affairs maintains official relationships with Premier League clubs and hospitality providers, allowing them to secure guaranteed tickets unavailable to the general public.

Founded by Mirza Salim—a passionate Liverpool supporter who himself made the Anfield pilgrimage after recovering from serious medical challenges—Matchday Affairs understands this journey on a deeply personal level. This isn't a faceless corporation; it's fellow football fans who have walked the exact path you're contemplating and want to help others experience that same magic.

Their track record speaks for itself:

50+ successful tours since 2019 with zero denied stadium entries due to invalid tickets

500+ Malaysian and Singaporean fans have achieved their Anfield dreams through their packages

100% authentic tickets through verified official partnerships—no counterfeits, ever

24/7 WhatsApp support during Asian business hours for real-time communication in familiar platforms

Halal-friendly accommodations and dining for Muslim Malaysian travelers

Licensed Travel Agent (TA03720) with full regulatory compliance and financial protection

Member of Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce with established business credentials

What makes Matchday Affairs different from DIY booking:

When you book independently, you're juggling flights from multiple airlines, coordinating hotel bookings, navigating unfamiliar UK transportation, risking ticket scams, dealing with language barriers, and handling problems alone if something goes wrong.

When you book through Matchday Affairs, everything is coordinated. Guaranteed match tickets secured before you pay a single ringgit. Flights, hotels, and ground transportation bundled at group rates. Expert Matchday Ambassadors who've done this 50+ times guiding you through every step. Halal meal arrangements for Muslim travelers. Meet-and-greet airport service eliminating post-flight confusion. And most importantly—someone who has your back if anything unexpected happens.

The founder's personal story—recovering from paralysis and brain surgeries to fulfill his Anfield dream—resonates deeply with Malaysian supporters who understand what it means to overcome obstacles for football passion. You can read the full inspiring journey on the Matchday Affairs founder story page.

The Matchday Experience: What Malaysian Fans Actually Feel

Malaysian supporters who have completed their Anfield pilgrimage consistently describe matchday as life-transforming—validating years of distant support in a single overwhelming afternoon that exceeds even the highest expectations.

2-3 Hours Before Kick-Off: The Ritual Begins

The streets surrounding Anfield—Walton Breck Road, Anfield Road, Oakfield Road—transform into a vibrant carnival. Malaysian fans should arrive early to absorb the full pre-match ritual. You'll gather at legendary pubs like The Sandon (where Liverpool FC was founded in 1892), The Park Pub (packed with locals and international supporters), and Homebaked Bakery (serving legendary Scouse pies that fuel matchday passion).

Street vendors create a market atmosphere selling scarves, programs, and memorabilia. You'll hear accents from every continent—Norwegians, Americans, Japanese, Nigerians, Indonesians—all united by the same red jersey and shared cause. This is where Malaysian supporters connect with Liverpool fans from across the globe, creating friendships that transcend geography.

The Moment Everything Changes: "You'll Never Walk Alone"

Malaysian fans consistently identify the pre-match singing of "You'll Never Walk Alone" as the most emotionally powerful moment of their lives. As 60,000+ supporters join in unison to sing Liverpool's anthem, many Malaysian Reds report being completely overwhelmed—tears streaming down their faces as years of distant support transform into physical, visceral reality.

"Nothing prepares you for that moment when you're standing in the Kop, surrounded by tens of thousands singing You'll Never Walk Alone," shared one KL Kopites member. "Every 3 AM wake-up call, every heartbreak, every trophy celebration at mamak—it all made perfect sense in that moment. I finally understood what it means to be Liverpool."

The sound doesn't just surround you—it penetrates your chest, vibrates through your bones, and connects you to every supporter who has ever sung those words in triumph and tragedy. This is why you traveled halfway around the world. This is what you've been waiting for your entire life as a Liverpool fan.

The 90-Minute Experience: Football at Its Purest

Watching Liverpool play live at Anfield provides perspective impossible to gain through television broadcasts. You'll witness tactical movements invisible on TV cameras, the raw speed and physicality of Premier League football that television compresses into flat images, and the communication between players revealing the intelligence behind the beautiful game.

Malaysian fans seated in the Kop (Anfield's iconic standing section) experience the most intense atmosphere, while Main Stand seats provide superior viewing angles for tactical appreciation. Each section offers different experiences—your preference depends on whether you prioritize atmosphere intensity or viewing quality.

Post-Match: The Journey Continues

After Liverpool victories, the stadium erupts in celebration as players salute supporters in each stand. Malaysian fans frequently remain in the stadium for 20-30 minutes after full-time, soaking in the atmosphere and processing the experience they've traveled 10,000 kilometers to witness.

The journey continues into Liverpool city center, where pubs around Albert Dock and the Baltic Triangle fill with celebrating supporters analyzing every moment. This is where Malaysian Reds forge lasting friendships with locals, exchange contact information, and inevitably begin planning return visits—because once is never enough.

Complete Tour Packages: What Malaysian Fans Should Expect

The Full Anfield Pilgrimage Experience

Specialized tour operators create comprehensive packages designed specifically for Malaysian Liverpool fans, removing all logistical complexities and ensuring smooth experiences from KLIA departure to return home.

What Comprehensive Packages Include:

Pre-Departure Support:
Before you even leave Malaysia, professional tour operators provide UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) application guidance for Malaysian passport holders, travel insurance recommendations, flight booking assistance from KLIA, Penang, or connecting through Singapore, and detailed pre-trip briefings covering UK customs, cultural expectations, and what to pack for British weather.

Many operators create WhatsApp groups connecting Malaysian travelers on the same tour, allowing you to meet fellow Reds before departure. This community aspect transforms what could be an intimidating solo journey into a group pilgrimage with built-in friendships.

Transportation Handled Completely:
Complete packages handle round-trip flights from Malaysia (either direct KLIA-Manchester on Malaysia Airlines/Gulf carriers, or via Singapore hub on premium carriers). Airport arrival transfers include meet-and-greet service—you'll be welcomed by name by familiar faces holding Matchday Affairs signage, eliminating post-flight confusion in an unfamiliar country.

Private coach transportation between hotel and Anfield on matchdays removes navigation stress, while optional day trips to Manchester, Chester, North Wales, or the Lake District maximize your UK experience beyond just football.

Quality Accommodation in Prime Locations:
Quality 4-star hotels in Liverpool city center provide strategic locations near Albert Dock, Liverpool ONE shopping district, or within walking distance of Lime Street Station. Breakfast is typically included with halal options for Muslim Malaysian travelers. Evening meals at halal-certified restaurants accommodate Malaysia's Muslim-majority population—a crucial consideration that mainstream tour operators often overlook.

Liverpool FC Experiences Guaranteed:
Official Anfield Stadium Tour with LFC Museum access forms the foundation. Guaranteed matchday tickets (hospitality or standard seating depending on package tier) eliminate the single biggest stress point. Premium packages include matchday programs, complimentary pre-match meals in exclusive lounges, and occasionally opportunities to meet former Liverpool players.

For VIP experiences, some packages arrange post-match player meetings or access to areas most fans never see—the kind of behind-the-scenes moments that create stories you'll tell for the rest of your life.

Cultural Experiences Beyond Football:
Liverpool's identity extends far beyond football—it's the birthplace of The Beatles. Quality packages include Liverpool city walking tours featuring Cavern Quarter (The Beatles heritage), Royal Albert Dock, and the stunning waterfront. The Beatles Story museum provides comprehensive interactive exhibitions, while optional Magical Mystery Tour buses visit Penny Lane and Strawberry Field immortalized in Beatles songs.

Free time for shopping at Liverpool ONE, visiting Liverpool Cathedral (UK's largest with panoramic city views), and exploring the Maritime Museum documenting Liverpool's seafaring history rounds out the cultural experience. Malaysian visitors particularly enjoy the extensive retail options unavailable in Southeast Asia.

Halal Dining Fully Arranged:
Liverpool's multicultural population ensures excellent halal dining throughout the city. Specialized operators partner with halal-certified restaurants like Bakchich (Lebanese cuisine), Elif Turkish Restaurant near Liverpool ONE, Nabzy's (halal burgers popular with younger crowds), and Mowgli Street Food (Indian-inspired dishes with halal options).

This consideration removes enormous stress for Malaysian Muslim travelers concerned about maintaining dietary requirements while abroad. Instead of spending vacation time searching for suitable restaurants, everything is pre-arranged through partners who understand Muslim travelers' needs.

Why Malaysian Fans Choose Package Tours Over DIY:

"I initially tried booking everything myself—flights, hotels, match tickets separately. After three weeks of stress and nearly getting scammed on Facebook for tickets, I gave up and contacted Matchday Affairs. Within 48 hours, everything was confirmed at a comparable total cost but with zero stress. The WhatsApp support alone was worth it—being able to ask questions in real-time during Malaysia working hours made everything so easy." — Azman, KL Kopites member who visited Anfield March 2025

Best Timing for Your 2026 Anfield Journey

Season Timing: When Should Malaysian Fans Visit?

The Premier League season runs from August through May, with each period offering distinct advantages for Malaysian visitors.

August - October (Early Season):
Mild weather (15-20°C comfortable for Malaysians), longer daylight hours extending sightseeing time, and season optimism at peak levels. However, accommodation costs run higher during peak European tourism season, and competition for match tickets intensifies.

Ideal for: First-time visitors preferring comfortable weather and maximum daylight for Liverpool city exploration. School holiday period in Malaysia (November-December) creates high demand—book 4-6 months in advance.

November - January (Winter Period):
Festive Christmas atmosphere transforms Liverpool into a winter wonderland, Boxing Day fixtures (December 26) offer traditional English football culture, and many Malaysian travelers enjoy their first experience of genuine cold weather and potentially snow.

The trade-off: temperatures of 3-8°C require proper winter clothing, early darkness (4:30 PM sunsets) limits daytime activities, and potential match postponements occur during severe weather.

Ideal for: Experienced travelers seeking authentic British winter football atmosphere and Christmas market experiences. Fewer Asian tourists create more availability for accommodations.

February - April (Championship Run-In):
Stakes increase dramatically as title races intensify, spring weather gradually improves, and crucial fixtures carry playoff implications. However, weather remains variable (mix of rain, cold, and occasional sunshine), and fixture congestion occurs if Liverpool advances deep in cups.

Ideal for: Malaysian supporters prioritizing high-stakes matches with genuine title or European qualification implications where every point matters. This is the peak demand period—spaces book out fastest.

May (Season Finale):
Pleasant weather (12-18°C), final matchday atmosphere with potential trophy presentations, and climactic season conclusions. The downside: extremely high ticket demand, premium accommodation pricing, and very limited availability.

Ideal for: Witnessing trophy celebrations and dramatic final-day title races or top-four battles. Book immediately when 2025-26 fixtures are released in June 2025.

Fixture Priority: Maximizing Your Atmosphere Experience

When planning Anfield visits, Malaysian supporters should prioritize fixtures that maximize the legendary matchday atmosphere:

Tier 1 Fixtures (Highest atmosphere, most difficult tickets, selling out fastest):

  • Liverpool vs Manchester United (North West Derby—English football's biggest rivalry)

  • Liverpool vs Manchester City (Recent title race intensity creates electric atmosphere)

  • Liverpool vs Arsenal (Top-four battles with competitive edge)

  • Liverpool vs Everton (Merseyside Derby—local pride at absolute stake)

  • UEFA Champions League knockout fixtures (if Liverpool qualifies)

These fixtures typically sell out 4-6 months in advance. If you want to experience the ultimate Anfield atmosphere, contact tour operators immediately.

Tier 2 Fixtures (Excellent atmosphere, moderate ticket difficulty, strong value):

  • Liverpool vs Chelsea, Tottenham, Newcastle (traditional "Big Six" clashes)

  • FA Cup home fixtures (third round onward with knockout drama)

  • Europa League matches (if Liverpool competes in this competition)

  • Late-season matches against mid-table opponents with title implications

Tier 3 Fixtures (Good atmosphere, easier ticket access, best for first-time visitors on a budget):

  • Liverpool vs mid-table Premier League opponents (Wolves, Brentford, Brighton)

  • Midweek Premier League fixtures with reduced demand

  • League Cup earlier rounds before semifinals

For Malaysian fans making their first Anfield pilgrimage, Tier 2 or Tier 3 fixtures often provide optimal balance between authentic atmosphere quality, ticket accessibility, and overall investment.

Not sure which fixture to choose? Contact Matchday Affairs for personalized recommendations matching your travel dates and budget.

Practical Travel Logistics Malaysian Fans Need to Know

Getting from Malaysia to Liverpool: Your Route Options

Most Direct Route: KLIA to Manchester Airport
Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Emirates operate convenient routes from Kuala Lumpur to Manchester Airport via Doha or Dubai hubs. Total journey time including layover: 13-16 hours. Ground transfer from Manchester Airport to Liverpool city center takes approximately 45 minutes by private coach.

This route provides closest access to Liverpool with straightforward connections and minimal ground transportation complexity.

Alternative: KLIA to London then Train
Malaysia Airlines and British Airways operate direct KUL-LHR routes (13-14 hours). From London, trains depart Euston Station to Liverpool Lime Street every 20-30 minutes, with journey time of 2 hours 15 minutes.

This option provides more flight flexibility and the opportunity to experience London before or after Liverpool visits—ideal for travelers wanting to maximize UK cultural experiences beyond just football.

Via Singapore Hub:
For Malaysian travelers from Johor Bahru or those seeking premium service quality, Singapore Airlines and British Airways operate excellent SIN-LHR routes. Some Malaysian fans prefer this option for superior in-flight experience or when combining multi-city Southeast Asian departures.

Quality tour packages include all airport transfers, eliminating post-flight confusion in unfamiliar cities. Meet-and-greet services ensure smooth transitions from Manchester Airport to Liverpool accommodations.

UK Entry Requirements for Malaysians (Updated 2026)

Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA):
From 2024 onward, Malaysian passport holders require UK Electronic Travel Authorization before travel. The ETA must be completed through the official UK government website before departure. Tour operators typically provide step-by-step ETA application guidance as part of their comprehensive package support.

Visa Requirements:
Malaysian citizens currently enjoy visa-free access to the UK for tourism stays up to 6 months. However, always verify current requirements before booking as immigration policies can change. Carry proof of return flights, accommodation bookings, and sufficient funds (bank statements) to demonstrate genuine tourist intent at UK Border Control.

Weather Preparation: What Malaysians Must Pack

Malaysian visitors accustomed to consistent 25-35°C tropical heat must prepare for significantly colder UK weather:

Essential Items:

  • Layered clothing (thermal base layers, fleece mid-layers, waterproof outer shell)

  • Comfortable waterproof walking shoes (Liverpool receives frequent rain year-round)

  • Compact umbrella (essential for UK weather unpredictability)

  • Liverpool FC jersey and scarf (wearing club colors amplifies matchday atmosphere)

  • Power adapter (UK uses Type G plugs with three rectangular pins)

  • Portable WiFi device or local SIM card for navigation and social media sharing

Weather Context:

  • Summer (June-August): 15-22°C (comfortable for Malaysians but cooler than KL)

  • Autumn/Spring (September-May): 8-16°C (requires layered clothing and waterproof outer layers)

  • Winter (November-February): 2-8°C (significant cold shock for tropical visitors, proper winter gear essential)

The weather shouldn't deter Malaysian fans—proper preparation ensures comfort regardless of season. Many Malaysian Reds report actually enjoying their first experience of genuine cold weather, and some even hope for snow during winter visits to complete the authentic British football experience.

Why Malaysian Fans Trust Matchday Affairs

The founder of Matchday Affairs, Mirza Salim, personally understands this journey. After recovering from paralysis and multiple brain surgeries, he made his own Anfield pilgrimage in 2016—an experience so transformative that he built an entire business helping other Asian football fans achieve the same dream.

His wife suggested: "Thousands of fans share similar dreams but lack access. You should help them experience that same magic."

That's exactly what happened. Since 2019, Matchday Affairs has organized 50+ tours for Southeast Asian football fans, maintaining a perfect record:

Zero denied stadium entries due to invalid tickets
Zero customers abandoned when problems arise
500+ Malaysian and Singaporean supporters who return home with their lives fundamentally changed by the Anfield experience
98% customer satisfaction based on post-tour surveys
85% of customers book additional tours after their first experience

You can read Mirza's complete inspirational story—from stroke survivor to helping fans achieve their football dreams—on the Matchday Affairs founder journey page.

This business model isn't built on maximizing profits—it's built on the deeply personal understanding that your Anfield dream matters as much as his own did in 2016.

That's why every package comes with their personal guarantee: If we can't secure your authentic match tickets, you get a full refund. No exceptions.

Your Anfield Journey Begins Now

For Malaysian Liverpool supporters, the Anfield pilgrimage represents far more than sports tourism. It's completing a journey that began the first time you woke at 3 AM to watch Liverpool play, the first time you celebrated a last-minute goal among strangers at mamak who became family, the first time you felt genuine connection to a club 10,000 kilometers away.

The 2026 season beckons with promise. Liverpool continues competing at the highest levels of English and European football. The legendary Anfield atmosphere remains unmatched anywhere in world football. And comprehensive tour packages through experienced operators have made the dream accessible to Malaysian fans.

But availability is limited.

Every Malaysian Red who has completed this pilgrimage returns transformed. They're no longer distant supporters watching through screens—they're living participants in Liverpool FC's ongoing story. They walked the same tunnel where Liverpool legends emerged. They sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" surrounded by 60,000 voices. They witnessed the beauty and passion of football at its absolute pinnacle.

Malaysian fans consistently emphasize one universal truth: the experience exceeds even the highest expectations. The moment when you touch the "This Is Anfield" sign, when you walk onto that sacred pitch for the first time, when you hear 60,000 people singing in unison—every kilometer traveled, every ringgit invested, every early morning sacrifice crystallizes into perfect clarity.

You'll Never Walk Alone isn't just Liverpool's anthem—it's a promise. Malaysian Reds making this pilgrimage join an eternal family that transcends geography, language, and distance.

When you return to your mamak stall in KL or JB and tell your friends about standing in the Kop, about singing with 60,000 voices, about the overwhelming emotion of being physically present at Anfield—you'll struggle to find words adequate to the experience.

That's when you'll understand: some dreams are worth every sacrifice to achieve.

Your Anfield journey awaits. The only question is: will 2026 be your year?

It was an unforgettable YNWA experience in which I got the back2back tickets for e Napoli and Brighton matches thru Mirza's matchday affairs. Mirza was attentive to details & feedback, & thru his link with e local agency, had a pleasant surprise treat by him for the latter match. Highly recommended and will go thru him again to get the match day tickets the next time…

The stadium tour, the food, the mural hunting and shopping – awesome!! YNWA….

Watched the final match of the season at Anfield and a poignant farewell to the gaffer in the Liverpool vs Wolves match. Had a fabulous time and thanks to Mirza and Dela of Matchday Affairs who went the extra mile to ensure we – all 40 of us! – were all well taken care of all the way, patiently accommodating various requests and to provide us with a great experience. The mural hunt was fun, lunches provided were awesome and the company was great. Made new friends and created wonderful memories to last a lifetime. Thanks again Matchday Affairs 5 star rating 🌟

I read reviews of Matchday Affairs before I decided to engage its services for the Liverpool vs Man U match last Dec 2023, and I'm happy that I made the decision. It was a fantastic experience with a small tour group that keeps it intimate. Mirza is professional yet able to balance the whole experience as casual and friendly. Kak Dela was awesome in sharing advices and information to make our trip a memorable one. The itinerary was very relaxed yet fulfilling. Fully recommended and it won't be the last time that I follow Matchday Affairs to Anfield!!

Thanks to Matchday Affairs for helping us to secure the matchday tickets for Liverpool vs Arsenal at Anfield! The team, esp Dela, was very responsive throughout the whole process and also patient when answering our questions even though the questions may not be directly related to the match itself (e.g about the LFC pre-match walkabout). Getting into the stadium was fuss free and they secured good seats for us as well. Will definitely purchase from Matchday Affairs again, thank you!

It was my first trip to Liverpool. Mirza has been communicative and accommodating to my requests. The itinerary were all well thought out and we managed to catch 3 Liverpool matches! Made a lot of new friends and I really enjoyed myself there. I have taken tour packages in the past and so far, this was the best experience! For those who wants to visit Anfield, look no further. Matchday Affairs is the only one to go to. As one of the Kaka in the group said, " the only affair you are allowed to have, is Matchday Affairs. " YNWA!

Thanks to Mirza for planning this trip to make it more meaningful and awesome for me and the rest! It was my first time going to Anfield and it was an unforgettable experience. We get to explore the city as well as shopping. Visited numerous LFC store and also had a great photo opportunity. He brought us to good makan place and have a great knowledge of the places of interest within the city whenever we go. Even planned a day trip to Manchester and do more shopping and visited the other 2 stadiums. Thank you once again, will definitely consider in the future! Thanks Mirza for the wonderful experience!

This is indeed a real deal. I was skeptical about this tour/service. Many questionable stuff came out during the process of booking and waiting. However it were all answered when we in the stadium. It is a legitimate tour by one man show. Very accommodating on our request and flexible on the itinerary provided. We did museum tour at Old Trafford and Anfield, went on visit the Etihad stadium as well. It will be great if given more options on hotels and seats in the stadium. Thank you for organising the trip to Old Trafford. Indeed a memorable one.

Went for the final game of Liverpool (vs Wolves on 19 May 2024. Was really glad that I was able to get the anticipated final matchday (Klopp's final game) tickets and that was mainly what got me to commit to Matchday Affairs in the first place. Mirza and Dela work tirelessly to give us the fan experience; going to the AXA training ground, wait by the Titanic hotel, mural hunting and more. It's been a great trip because of all new friends you make along the way who will 'never let you walk alone' 😆 I'm glad that my fan experience was fulfilled by Matchday Affairs and I had the extended package with 2 days in London – I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot; it being my first time in London. Thank you Mirza & Dela!

Klopp's Final Game

Everyone can watch a live football match of your beloved club. But to watch it together with like-minded club supporters in Liverpool coming all the way from Singapore is truly a religious affair… Dela and Mirza are no ordinary tour organizers, they are part of this football religion. They actually made customized hoodies for us and our hero! What can we say…

Great trip! Great tours! Great food! Great people! Matchday Affair has won my heart from day one. Mirza and Dela were very personable and took care of all our needs….. from check-ins to watching the games and even helping us look for toilets…. they're always there for us. I love it personally as they keep close to our great club's YNWA. Even though our group of 28 of us, they seemed to always manage to gather us around and kept us closely knitted. If it's your maiden trip, I highly recommend Matchday Affair…. your travel partner to Liverpool!!
